A poor family needs our love and urgent help.
It is with a sense of most urgency that we appeal for your help to raise
necessary funds to build a small one bedroom home for a mom with two little kids
in Sri Lanka. When you see the attached photos you certainly will shed tears as
we all did. The recent monsoon weather took the mud home with it. As you can
see only a small part of the walls remain. The kids try and hide under two
metal sheets to keep safe from the continuing bad weather. The mom stands out
all night protecting her young.
We will need to raise about $5,000.00 to accomplish this task of building a
one-room house with brick and cement. A tile roof, doors and windows will keep
them safe. Your kind donation and of your friends, will build a home, a toilet
with access to running water, provide them with necessary furniture, cooking
equipment, a couple of kerosene lamps and of course we will sponsor the kids
education for a year, at the least. No amount is too small. All donations are
completely confidential. Reports of construction will periodically be sent to
all donors.
Please do share this information with your closest friends and seek their love
for this poor sister of ours. We must act fast as December/January will have
terribly cold nights. We are very very worried about her kids. We have
dispatched our team in Sri lanka to see how we can find some temporary
accommodation until we build her nest.
